LDE require geologists and geotechnical engineers to assist with two aspects of work associated with the February 22nd Christchurch Earthquake. These are:
• Land damage assessments in Christchurch
(mapping liquefaction and lateral spreading on a property by
property basis)
• Geological modelling of suburbs in Christchurch affected by
liquefaction and lateral spreading
Land damage assessments will obviously be carried out in
Christchurch. You will be part of a team of some 40 similar
people assigned to undertake this work.
The geological modelling will be carried out in Gisborne where
you will be part of a team of some 8 people carrying out this
work. For geological modelling experience in Autocad would be
useful but not essential.
These will be fixed term individual agreements.
You must be eligible to work in NZ to apply for these positions
